Platform overview

CareV is a technology platform that connects customers seeking home healthcare with independent, verified care professionals — nurses, physiotherapists, and day-care attendants. CareV facilitates discovery, verification, booking, assignment, and coordination of these services.

Care is delivered by the assigned professional. CareV is not a hospital, clinic, or emergency service, and does not itself provide medical treatment.

Business TODO: Confirm the engagement model for providers (independent professionals vs. employees) with legal counsel, as it affects liability, tax, and these terms. This document assumes independent, verified professionals onboarded through CareV.

Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Indian law.
  • Accounts are created and secured using your mobile number and a one-time password (OTP).
  • You are responsible for keeping your device and phone number secure, and for activity on your account.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date.

Customer responsibilities

  • Provide accurate personal, contact, and address information.
  • Share relevant context with the provider so care can be delivered safely.
  • Ensure a safe, lawful environment for the provider at the service location.
  • Be present or arrange a responsible adult for the appointment where required.
  • Treat providers with respect and pay any agreed amounts for services received.

Provider responsibilities

  • Hold and maintain valid qualifications, registrations, and the legal right to practise.
  • Provide truthful identity, credential, and availability information.
  • Honour accepted bookings, arrive as scheduled, and communicate changes promptly.
  • Deliver care professionally, ethically, and within your scope of practice.
  • Keep your location and availability accurate while marked online.

Bookings & appointments

A booking moves through clear, tracked stages:

  1. You submit a care request specifying the service, schedule, and location.
  2. CareV reviews the request and assigns a suitable verified provider.
  3. The provider accepts the assignment (or it is re-assigned if declined).
  4. The provider travels to the location, arrives, and delivers the service.
  5. The booking is marked complete and you may rate the experience.

Each status change is recorded and you receive notifications at key points. Submitting a request does not guarantee a booking until a provider is assigned and accepts.

Provider verification

Providers complete identity and credential verification before being eligible for assignments — including Aadhaar-based identity checks (minimised and securely handled), professional certificates and registration details, and a live verification selfie.

Verification substantially reduces risk but cannot eliminate it. CareV does not warrant the outcome of any individual care session and encourages customers to exercise normal judgement.

Pricing & payments

Pricing for care is shared directly by the CareV team based on your specific care needs, therapy plan, or care hours. At present, CareV does not collect payments through the website or the apps. There is no automated charge, in-app checkout, or stored card data; amounts are arranged and settled directly with the CareV team.

Developer / business TODO: When online payments are introduced (e.g. via a payment gateway such as Razorpay), update this section with charge timing, taxes/fees, invoicing, and settlement terms, and ensure the Refund & Cancellation Policy is implemented in code before go-live.

Service availability

CareV is launching in select locations in India and is currently accepting waitlist registrations. Availability depends on verified providers operating in your area, their schedules, and the service requested. We may add, change, or withdraw services and coverage areas over time.

Cancellations

  • Customers may cancel a booking before a provider has accepted it.
  • An assigned provider may decline a request, in which case CareV works to re-assign it.
  • CareV may cancel a booking (for example, if no suitable provider is available or for safety reasons) or mark a no-show.

Because payments are not currently collected through the platform, no cancellation charges or online refunds apply today. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for full detail.

User conduct

You agree not to:

  • provide false identity or credential information;
  • harass, threaten, discriminate against, or harm any user or provider;
  • use the platform for unlawful purposes or to circumvent verification;
  • interfere with, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the platform’s security or operation; or
  • misuse another person’s account or data.

Intellectual property

The CareV name, logo, website, apps, software, and content are owned by CareV and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it without permission.

Medical disclaimer & emergencies

CareV is not an emergency service. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital immediately. Care arranged through CareV does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency treatment.

Limitation of liability

CareV provides the platform on an “as available” basis and acts as a facilitator connecting customers and providers. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareV is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for the acts or omissions of independent providers beyond our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, provide fraudulent information, or create safety or legal risk. You may stop using CareV at any time and request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, India shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms.

Business TODO: Confirm the governing city/jurisdiction with legal counsel.
